Is this really me?

Is this really me?
This blurred cacophony of lines,
And curves I see,
When I look at the mirror!

Smudges and broken edges,
Of half-formed features,

As the colors drain out of the
Undefined bounds and into
The void of Uncharted shadows.

Is this really me?
This tangled mess of strings
That were once thoughts,
That marked the way ahead!

Going over and under,
Abandoning rules and patterns

As the spools fall away,
Spilling all threads away from the
Flawlessly dancing loom of my mind!

About this poem:

Sometimes, we all feel lost, as if everything about is wrong, and things just won’t stay in their proper place. We feel out of control, as if the world is imposing incessantly upon us, and trying to demolish a perfect life we were living not long ago.

At these times, it is important that we don’t fall into that trap of negativity. It is important that we do not start believing blindly what we see. It is important that we question that image and try to find the answers.
